How it works
One chain, end to end
From the amount you set to the day a daycare gets paid, it is one connected process. You start it, and it keeps running without you.
You
Decide what you’ll put in
Pick a monthly amount to go toward each child’s care. That’s the only number you need to choose, and you can change it later.

You
Invite your team
Send an invitation by email. From there your employees set themselves up — you don’t collect forms, chase documents or field questions about daycares.
Employees complete their profile and add their children.
Your team
They choose their daycare
Parents browse licensed daycares near them, see exactly what they’d pay each month, and request a place. The daycare accepts, and the paperwork is handled for both of them.
Daycare signs the enrollment agreement.
Borough Cap
We take it from there
Starting on the child’s first day, we collect your share and theirs, and pay the daycare each month once they confirm the child attended. You get one invoice.
Attendance confirmed monthly. Payouts made on time.

The price is locked in when your employee enrolls, so it can’t change on them mid-year.
You can change this whenever you like. It takes effect the following month.
Your inputs update the totals in real time.

Trust
Your team’s childcare, handled carefully
Families are trusting you with something that matters. Here is what we promise them, and you.
Private by default
Your employees see their own family and nobody else’s. Daycares see only the children in their care. You see your team, and never another company’s.
No surprise charges
Nothing is charged before a child’s first day. The price agreed at enrollment is the price billed, and any change you make starts the following month — never in the middle of one.
Everyone sees the same numbers
You, your employee and the daycare all work from one record of what was charged, what was paid, and when. If a payment fails, we tell you before you have to ask.
Every cent accounted for
Each payment is tracked from your bank account through to the daycare, down to the child and the month. Nothing gets paid twice, and nothing goes missing.
Questions
The things people ask us
Including the answers that are less convenient for us.
How much do I have to contribute?
That’s entirely your call. You set a monthly amount per child and we cover up to that. If a daycare costs less than your amount, you only pay what it costs. If it costs more, your employee covers the difference.
Can I change the amount later?
Yes, whenever you like. Changes start the following month, so nobody gets a surprise bill halfway through a month they have already planned around.
How does the money actually move?
Once a month we collect your share from your bank account and your employee’s share from their card, then pay the daycare directly. Your employee never has to pay the daycare up front and wait to be reimbursed.
What does my employee see?
The daycare’s price, what you cover, and what they pay. That is it. Our service fee is never shown to them and never appears in anything they receive.
What if a payment fails?
We spot it, pause that child’s billing so nothing compounds, and contact whoever needs to update their details. Our team follows it up — it does not land on you.
Do my employees have to use a specific daycare?
They choose from licensed daycares across the five boroughs. The daycare confirms it has a place before anything is agreed, so nobody is enrolled somewhere that cannot take them.
What if someone leaves, or stops needing care?
Billing stops at the end of the month already paid for — no refund for a partial month, and no charge after that. The record of what happened stays available to everyone involved.
What about employees with more than one child?
Each child is handled separately, with its own daycare and its own start date. Your monthly amount applies to each of them.
The spreadsheet was never the hard part.
The hard part is the month where a charge fails, an agreement expires and a daycare is still waiting to be paid. Borough Cap is built for that month.
